Fluke Invests in Next Generation of Engineers Through Five-Year IIT Delhi Partnership
If we want the next generation to be ready, they need access to real tools, real data, and real challenges early in their careers. That’s what this partnership enables.
Fluke Corporation is expanding its investment in the next generation of technical talent with a new five-year Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.
The agreement includes the donation of professional-grade Fluke electrical testing and measurement tools to IIT Delhi’s student-led Formula racing team, which designs and builds high-performance vehicles, including electric vehicles, for international competitions. The partnership is designed to give students hands-on experience with the same world-class tools used by engineers and technicians across industry today.
“This is about preparing students for the realities of modern engineering, not just the classroom,” said Vineet Thuvara, Chief Product Officer at Fluke Corporation. “With expanding needs of AI, automation, mobility, and renewable resources among others, there is a growing skills gap to build infrastructure globally. If we want the next generation to be ready, they need access to real tools, real data, and real challenges early in their careers. That’s what this partnership enables.”
Under the five-year partnership, Fluke becomes a Diamond Partner of the IIT Delhi Formula program, Axlr8r, reflecting a shared commitment to technical excellence, safety, and innovation.
“India has one of the deepest pools of engineering talent in the world, and programs like this are where that talent is shaped,” said Jaison Isaac, Managing Director, Fluke India. “A five-year commitment allows us to move beyond a single moment and build a lasting relationship with students and faculty - growing alongside the next generation of engineers.”
The IIT Delhi Formula team brings together students across mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineering disciplines, offering a practical environment where theory meets application. For Fluke, the partnership reflects a broader focus on supporting engineering education, strengthening early-career pathways, and investing in the future of manufacturing and mobility.
"When students work with real industry partners and professional-grade tools, they don’t just learn what’s new—they learn to lead, and that gives them a competitive advantage," says Sumit K Chattopadhyay, Axlr8r faculty advisor and professor at the Department of Energy Science and Engineering, IIT Delhi.
“Engineering talent is built through experience,” Thuvara added. “We’re proud to support students who are building, testing, and learning by doing.”
